Intro to Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving

Saturday, February 9, 10am-3pm

Join fiber artist Jody Wheeler for this introduction to the art of rigid heddle loom weaving. Instruction, all materials and equipment are provided and class members will leave with their very own hand-woven 9” by 72” woolen scarf.

Jody Wheeler recently moved to Arkansas from Maine. She studied Fiber Arts at Cumbria Institute of the Arts in Northwest England, and Art Education at Empire State College in upstate New York. She and her husband Dean have lived in many places around the world where Jody has studied the fiber heritage of diverse cultures. Jody is a gardener, an avid musician and a prolific weaver. With a love of texture, color and composition, Jody brings her excitement and sense of humor to her teaching.
