Raku with Mom

Saturday, May 5, 1:00 pm until we’re done!

Presented by Gailen Hudson

Join us for an afternoon of magic on the mountain with Gailen Hudson from The Clay Bank in Springdale. Gailen will demonstrate the ancient art of raku pottery firing and other specialized ceramic firing techniques. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bisqued pieces(high fire clay only, unglazed). No pieces of your own? Not a potter? Not a problem. We will have pieces available for purchase for you to glaze and fire and you will bring home a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece of art in this hands-on workshop.

Bring Mom along and celebrate Mother’s Day together while creating magic and memories together!

Accomplished ceramic artist with an interest in learning new techniques? Amateur or student potter of just an interest in pottery and wanting to learn more? This class is for you!

Everyone is encouraged to bring snacks and a beverage (non alcoholic) and enjoy the outdoor splendor of the scenic Boston Mountains.

Participants 18 and older please.

$25 fee, which includes glaze and firing. Tickets are non-refundable. (A class like this requires us to buy materials in advance, so in the event that you are unable to use your ticket we will make every effort to resell your ticket and refund your money, but if we can’t find someone to purchase the seat, there will be no refund.)
