Herbal Salve Making

Saturday, July 14, 1pm-3pm

Presented by Jenny Dietzel

This informative 2-hour class teaches the participants how to make an herbal salve.

Salve is made from herbs soaked or simmered in oil with beeswax added to help it harden. It is a great way to get an herb onto the skin and is recommended for cuts, scrapes, stings, bites and rashes as well as other conditions like dry lips or skin. Learn how to make a simple salve from a single healing herb or combine herbs into a formula for their synergistic effects. Many of the ingredients can be grown in your own yard or window boxes. (Some of them grow everywhere already!)

The recipe demonstrated in the class makes a good sized batch for sharing.

Class is limited to 24 participants. Class fee is $20 and everyone gets a free jar of either original or lavender salve to take home with them.
