Intro to Soapmaking
September 14 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm$40
Saturday, September 14, 9am-12pm
You asked for it, you got it! For those of you who were unable to make it to the last one, Amy is repeating her “Intro to Soapmaking” workshop!
Join Northwest Arkansas artist Amy Leisure and learn the basics of making old fashioned lye soap just like your grandma used to make!
With over 23 years of experience creating hand crafted, boutique quality soaps, Amy will guide you on how to make soap using readily available and affordable materials and ingredients. Class participants will learn the basics of saponification and how to easily and safely combine ingredients found in your own home kitchen. From there you will add botanicals, herbs and fragrances to make each batch your own special creation!
Amy puts the fun into foam and takes the fear out making your own soap. You too can become a soap maker!
You will leave with two bars of soap ($14 value), a handout with the recipe used, helpful websites, and how to formulate your own recipe.
Tickets are $40 per person and include all instruction and materials and two bars of handmade soap. The event will be limited to 10 participants — adults only, please! Tickets are non-refundable. (In the event that you are unable to use your ticket we will make every effort to resell your ticket and refund your money, but if we can’t find someone to purchase the seat, there will be no refund.)
