Toad Abodes

Saturday March 17, 9 am – noon
Saturday, March 31, 1 pm – 3 pm

Presented by Amy Leisure

Did you know that one toad can eat up to 10,000 insects over the course of a summer?

Encouraging a toad or two to take up residence in your garden is a great way to control garden pests. Toads like damp shady areas and need shelter. Why not make a cool stoneware garden home for our amphibious friends! Join Northwest Arkansas artist Amy Leisure in this two-day hand-building workshop creating in clay. We’ll build our functional and funky houses in the first class then come back two weeks later to glaze our creations. In the end you will take home a one-of-a-kind ceramic creation, a toad house that will look right at home in your garden.

Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and/or stained. Aprons will also be available. Clay and tools will be provided.

Tickets are $35 per person, which includes both sessions. Class is limited to 10 participants, ages 14 and up. Pre-registration is required.

Tickets are non-refundable. (In the event that you are unable to use your ticket we will make every effort to resell your ticket and refund your money, but if we can’t find someone to purchase the seat, there will be no refund.)

To purchase tickets, just click the “Pay Now” button below. All tickets must be purchased prior to the workshop and the number is limited, so call today! (Ticket cost is non-refundable and is viewed as a donation to Ozark Folkways.) If you are unable to make the class, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can offer the open spot to others.
