Presented by Maeve Courteau

Join famed Northwest Arkansas Artist Maeve Corteau for a two session introduction to wood carving. Class participants will be introduced to wood carving in the first session including tools required, tool safety, basics of building a carving bench and making your own mallet. Students will be encouraged to bring home a carving bench, wood and all tools required to practice during the week. In our second session we will carve decorative and functional spoons from native hardwoods

Tickets are $75 per person and include materials and tools. Class is limited to 5 participants. Tickets are non-refundable. (In the event that you are unable to use your ticket we will make every effort to resell your ticket and refund your money, but if we can’t find someone to purchase the seat, there will be no refund.)

(Ticket cost is non-refundable and is viewed as a donation to Ozark Folkways.) If you are unable to make the class, please let us know as soon as possible, so we can offer the open spot to others.
